Libs of TikTok Censored By LinkTree - Here Are Some Alternatives
If you don't know what LinkTree is, basically it came became popular due to the restrictions put in place by Instagram on where you can use hyperlinks. Generally, you can't put links in your posts on Instagram, so people / businesses get to put 1 link in their bio. So, LinkTree created a service where you could use that one link to open a page on which you could have multiple other links, as well as embedded videos and many other forms of media / embeds.
A few days ago, Libs of TikTok was given the boot by LinkTree saying "This account has been removed due to inappropriate use of this service." Obviously, this is code for, "we don't like your political beliefs and are kicking you off of our platform." Given this clearly politically motivated censorship, I just thought it might be a good idea to highlight some alternatives to LinkTree that any of you who are currently using the service could switch to.
FIRST: I would like to point out that you don't actually need to use a service like LinkTree in order to have links to all your stuff on a single page. In my opinion, it would be much better to build a page on your own website and put your links there. Why use a third party service when they can arbitrarily kick you off whenever they please? If you need help building a single page or even an entire website, please consider reaching out to https://shotcitymedia.com/ . This web design company is owned by a patriot who is absolutely not woke, loves this country and can definitely help you set something like this up. Unfortunately, I can't tell you the political leanings for all these different platforms so I don't really know if any of them are woke anti-free speech types. However, one thing I can say is that none of them has banned Libsoftiktok, so they have that going for them. The first option, "All My Links" is the one that Libsoftiktok is currently using. So far, so good, I guess. Hopefully that works out for them.
