According to Business Insider, "A non-fungible token (NFT) is a unique digital asset that represents ownership of real-world items like art, video clips, music, and more. NFTs use the same blockchain technology that powers cryptocurrencies, but they're not a currency." Basically, NFTs are a means by which content creators can create digital works of art, and then convey ownership of those works using blockchain technology as a means of verification of that ownership.

NFTs are all the rage right now, and digital content creators are using NFT marketplaces to make money. The first time I heard of NFTs was about a year ago when a digital artist named Beeple, sold his NFT art compilation for over $69 million!
